Another Raw Water Intake Screening Project Awarded to Hydroflux

October 9, 2025

Many water treatment and desalination treatment plants have large intakes that are fitted with screening technology, sometimes in multiple stages, to remove debris and coarse material, prior to treatment in the downstream process.

Hydroflux were recently awarded the design, supply and commissioning of several HUBER CenterMax® Band Screens that will be installed at an intake of a water treatment plant. The screens will remove unwanted material from the raw water to protect the downstream processes.

HUBER’s CenterMax® is a perforated plate band screen that is used for screening sewage and raw water streams. The screens are available in a number sizes to suite channel depths ranging from 1.2 to 10m and channel widths from 1.2 to 3.5m. Together with the TrashMax® and RakeMax® Coarse Screens, Hydroflux can provide complete water intake solutions for municipal, desalination and industrial applications.
