For obvious reasons, no one wants to live or work adjacent to a sewage treatment plant! That is why we locate our sewage treatment plants a long way from our houses, businesses and from where we relax and play.
Problem is, as the world’s population grows and the demand for living, work and recreational space grows, the “long way away distance” comes under serious pressure. What was once cheap land, is now worth a fortune and housing and businesses are increasing in density adding to the problem by causing capacity stress at the sewage treatment plant and forcing even larger plants to be built.
What if there was another way? Instead of housing needing to be 500m or more away, you could build houses right next to the sewage treatment plant? What if you could make the sewage treatment plant a quarter of its original size, or double or even quadruple its current capacity? What if you could guarantee it would be odour free and look like a beautiful garden oasis?
And we mean, not just tolerable odour free and tolerable beautiful, but really odour free and beautiful.
Have a look through a few of these before and after pictures, it will give you an idea of what can actually be achieved right now either as a capacity upgrade or a new sewage treatment plant with the Organica system.
These are not the dreams of an overzealous architecture team, over 50 plants have been built worldwide and currently another 20 are under construction.

These solutions are proven, economic and sustainable. They can be open park or fully enclosed, are odourless and preserve the values of the surrounding land.
With their small footprint and attractive design they can and indeed are even being built in the middle of cities, saving massively on effluent pumping infrastructure and operating costs.
Imagine a world, where you don’t have to go out to the neighborhood park to run, walk your dog, or have a picnic. Instead, you could make your way to a local water reclamation garden for many of the same recreational activities.
