Following successful work conducted on a number of MBBR projects in Australia, this new exclusive agreement with Flootech Oy secures Hydroflux’s Australian Industrial and Municipal clients access to Advanced European FlooBed® MBBR technology.
The FlooBed® MBBR is one of the worlds most robust and flexible biological systems. The FlooBed® MBBR is an advanced aerobic biological wastewater treatment process. The main difference between the FlooBed® MBBR and other conventional processes is that is uses small plastic carrier elements in the biological aeration vessel to provide a large surface area for bacteria to attach to and grow.
These carrier elements allow a very high concentration of biomass to be present in the bioreactor which effectively increases its biological treatment capacity and provides many more significant benefits.
Some of the key benefits are:
- The high concentration of biomass within the reactor allows greater volumes of wastewater to be treated in comparative smaller vessels.
- The nature of the bacteria on the carriers provides a far greater stability to wastewater variations and shock loads
- The FlooBed® MBBR is an ideal solution for upgrading your treatment plant to allow higher volumes to be treated, or improve the performance.
