Hydroflux HUBER has been awarded two contracts for the supply of inlet screenings systems for remote QLD sewage treatment plants.

Solids Removal from Wastewater – HUBER Rotamat Ro9
One of the sites is for the replacement of a competitor’s product, failing only two years after being in service. The HUBER Rotamat screens were selected due to their excellent track record at other sites, providing unmatched reliability, high performance and low life cycle costs.
Luis Bastos, Senior Project Manager commented – “Our Screens are provided with purpose built stainless internal spirals, designed specifically for screening applications. Our competitors use off the shelf mild steel spirals designed for conveying, leading to a host of reliability issues associated with screen cleaning and corrosion”
The HUBER Rotamat Ro9 is an inclined spiral screen designed to remove solids from wastewater. The machine includes automatic conveying and dewatering, and integrated organics washing, to produce a dry solid discharge free of faecal material, with high volume reduction.
The two applications for our recent award are for a MBR and RBC application, where high performance screening and reliability are essential to long term plant operation.
