The Water Corporation have selected Hydroflux HUBER to design, supply and commission a fully automatic sludge dewatering skid for the Pemberton STP.
The site is undergoing an upgrade by York Civil to meet tighter discharge limits with increased capacity.
HUBER’s RoS3Q Inclined Sludge Press was selected for the process due to its high performance, very low energy demand, low maintenance input and automatic operation. To facilitate site installation the system will be delivered as a pre-fabricated skid.
“This is another project award for our HUBER RoS3Q technology. We are currently supplying a number of these to water utilities and private companies Australia wide. HUBER’s RoS3Q technology provides a number of benefits – most notably outstanding performance with the lowest energy demand.
The unit is fully enclosed to meet all WHS standards and odour/spray aerosols are contained. This project is being delivered as a plug and play skid to reduce site installation time. We have delivered other system within modified shipping containers as well” says John Koumoukelis, Director of Hydroflux.
HUBER’s RoS3Q Inclined Sludge Press is a screw press dewatering system design specifically for sludge. Sludge byproducts produced from wastewater treatment are generally 99+% water. This technology transforms the liquid sludge to a dry cake that can be transported as a solid. The end result is a 85% reduction in sludge disposal volumes.
